About Warwick Daycare and Preschool Learning Center

WDC cares for children 6 weeks to nine years of age.
Monday - Friday 6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p. m.

Warwick Day Care is a non-profit child care center serving the Warwick Valley and the surrounding communities and is licensed through the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. 

Philosophy

Our educational philosophy seeks to develop a child’s emotional, social, physical, and cognitive growth according to their own personal development and needs. Warwick Day Care recognizes that children of the same chronological age grow and learn at different rates. Our program encompasses a diversified curriculum that meets the needs of each child.

Learning & Development

Creativity is emphasized through our thematic child centered program. Children enjoy painting, arts & crafts, music & dancing, imaginative play and more. Our program also includes emergent literacy skills, early math basics, computer education, science & nature exploration, and both small & gross motor development. Location

Warwick Day Care shares a 26 acre campus with Mt. Averno and Schervier Pavilion, senior care facilities here in the village of Warwick. On the grounds we have two large playgrounds loaded with fun activities and plenty of room to run and play. We also have a separate infant/toddler playground for the children to enjoy with age appropriate toys and equipment. This location also offers us the unique opportunity for intergenerational activities with the residents who reside on the campus.

School Age Care

Warwick Day Care offers a school age program in which the Warwick Valley School District provides transportation from the elementary schools to Warwick Day Care Center for after school care and early dismissals. We also have the capability of caring for school age children on Warwick School District holidays and days off, where Warwick Day Care is still open.

Staff

Warwick Day Care Center hires only qualified and dedicated child care providers. We conduct thorough background checks on all employees and we regularly evaluate, review, and train our staff to ensure excellence of care. We also have staff members here that are MAT trained, allowing us the ability to administer medications to children (as necessary) under the NYS regulations & guidelines set forth by the Office of Children and Family Services for child care centers. An RN is on staff to oversee and assist our staff with our Health Care Policies.

Security

Warwick Day Care Center is a locked and secure facility. Only parents and staff have keyed entrance into the center. Visitors are permitted with previous notice and proper identification. We have a camera monitoring system for our classrooms and entrances. This is used for parent observation and administrative security and quality control. Our security system and policies are to ensure the safety of every child in our care.
